Of course, the Jones is quite a bit longer, but somehow feels much more nimble.
EricEric Daumehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08910609725656013290noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4962332031207942496.post-31515642134498000282016-09-22T08:40:22.742-04:002016-09-22T08:40:22.742-04:00I enjoy seeing other folks full complement of bike...I enjoy seeing other folks full complement of bikes along with thoughts... great post. I'm somewhat in the market for a more trail oriented fat tired option myself and was surprised to see you put the Krampus over the Jones+, both of which are on my radar. Your explanation is good and I think aligns with my own 'best value' vs 'best overall' mindset as well. I may have to resurrect my own blog and do a similar post... :) Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07515945333032397691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4962332031207942496.post-76721464167849400922016-09-08T20:42:31.357-04:002016-09-08T20:42:31.357-04:00Hi John,

Mostly things I don't like about it were how I had it set up: low trail + rear trailer = unhappy combination. With a (disc?) Surly LHT fork, it could be a very nice package for me, and I may do that if it doesn't sell. But finally, I don't have any strong affection for it, don't really need it as a functional part of my bike fleet, and would like some cash to recharge my bike fund (still virtually paying off the Jones).

Thanks as always for your comments and feedback.Eric Daumehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08910609725656013290noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4962332031207942496.post-15059542352478935372016-09-06T11:20:51.380-04:002016-09-06T11:20:51.380-04:00Well Seatboy, as one of your reader(s), I do alway...Well Seatboy, as one of your reader(s), I do always enjoy your fleet updates. Since you've owned, or otherwise ridden, just about every steel bike out there, I'm always interested to see how things are stacking up for you. Interesting the KM is your #1 at the moment. Even more interesting the New Albion is on the chopping block. What don't you like about it? I must have missed that post. I'm looking forward to your report on the Rockhopper. To my eye, it looks perfect for an urban mtb/street fighter-type build with a set of medium-aggressive BMX tires and maybe a rigid fork. Anyway, great blog!
